I was after some tiger's eye but I really didn't want to spend a lot. The man at the crystal shop kept telling me the small piece of tiger's eye I wanted to buy "wouldn't be effective because of the size". It was about 1cm cubed. He kept trying to convince me to buy more expensive, larger pieces. I got pissed off and ended up not buying anything. Do you reckon he had a point or was he dodgy?
I ended up buying some orange calcite from a much nicer shop with much nicer staff, coz lately I have been very down, weak and unsure of who I am.
shonky man? Or wise?

Ya, there are tons of stone pushers like that. It's a "hard" business. Any attuned gemstone retailer would know that the item that you choose, usually right off the bat, is precisely the one for you. I think that guy was wanting you to spend. Besides, orange calcite is way more fun, so it sounds like it worked out well! Enjoy!
