Herbs?

Post by EmberWolf »

Merry meet! My mother has decided to make a garden this spring, so I was just wondering what herbs you guys think I should get her to grow. Thanks in advance!

The herbs in my garden are

Basil
Parsley
Coriander (cilantro)
Rosemary
Chilli
Oregano
Mint
Tomatoes - not a herb but still yummy.

I find I use them all in my cooking a lot, so that's why I chose them (I cook lots of Thai curries). I grow them in large terracotta pots. I grew them from seed as its cheaper, and quite easy. Mint likes shade and lots of water. You need to grow the mint in a tub or it will invade everywhere. It's very easy to care for them in pots as you can easily adjust the amount of sun they get by simply moving them.

Happy gardening!

All on Dark Moons list plus Sage and Dill, I love Dill! And there's tons of kinds of Sage you can do tons of things with.

White sage
Catnip
Marigolds (they are also calendula so you can make some awesome salves with that and they are good for psychic work too)
Lavender
Garlic (as an herb and spice has some interesting properties)
Peppers (each pepper has different properties)
Spearmint
Pepermint
Sun flowers
