Unknown Feather

Post by Twine »

Earlier today I went hiking with a friend of mine. We were walking in a dry creek bed (we're really low on rain at the moment) and I sat down to tie my shoe, when I spot a feather laying right in front of me. My friend saw it at the same time (I called dibs and grabbed it, because I'm awesome like that). But I can't decide what kind of bird it came off of. It looks like a hawk or an owl feather, in my opinion, but I thought I'd see if anyone was sure.

Thanks,
Twine ^^

Well thank you very much! :D
I was sorta figuring it was...
I don't know if you happened to read my post awhile back about the owl that I found dying, but owls have been showing up A LOT recently, since I've started practicing more...

To be honest, I haven't quite decided yet. :)
I'm sure I'll find something to do with it, though!
As for now, it's tucked in a vase of paper flowers I've made. ^^

You can simply hold it in your fingers when studying for exams, for some extra help.
Or you could have it as a bookmark for your book of shadows!

I'd concentrate on the medicine of the Great Horned Owl, since that is the specific owl you are being visited by.
Here are some Great Horned Owl medicine sites that might help.

I was just looking through types of owl feathers (i'm a Barn Owl soul) and i'm wondering if your feather might instead be a Barred Owl feather? Due to having little to no brown/red coloration, but instead white?

It was directed at both, since he has a picture up of his I used it for reference when I found the others.
It depends on the type of feather as to its medicine.

I agree. It looks more like a barred owl feather! And those are the ones I have been seeing! Release.the.bats, do you have any links that tell more about them? :)
