Re: Crystals to Help With Anxiety?

I gave my son some turquoise when he was having tough times around that age, supposed to help with bullying. I didn't saying it was to do with bullying, just suggested it might be a nice thing to have in his pocket. he loved it

Re: Crystals to Help With Anxiety?

Yes a nice lump of haematite is very grounding I also like rose quartz for its sweet childlike straight forward goodness Citrine is nice and clearing too. I have a citrine pendulum but I don't use it much. I agree with above that a nice tumblestone to have in your pocket and hold in your hand might ...

Re: Orgone Generators

I've been thinking of experimenting with orgone, because I do a lot of resin craft - I just make pendants and rings and such like. Resin is a tricky beast to work with, here are some things I've learnt along the way which might help next time or for those thinking of trying it: - epoxy resin is best...

Re: My little girls nature box

Aw what a lovely thread :) and beautiful nature display. My daughter is like this too - young children seem to have a much closer relationship to elemental things, and it's lovely to be able to encourage that. A couple of times I have taken her to a crystal shop and let her choose one by just seeing...

Re: Energy work in rituals

I'm not Wiccan but ... Reiki can't harm anybody or anything... smileylove exactly why I love it. If you think that, search for another path, or have no path at all. You can take practices, rituals, or whatever you want from different knowledge sources. That has a label too, eclecticism... do you kn...

Re: Energy work in rituals

thank you for the wise words, and yes I think wicca specifically might not be for me. this forum is so informative and browsing it has suggested lots of things to read. I think I have a very pagan outlook on life, but wicca is too restrictive. I would feel superficial just picking up its practices, ...

Energy work in rituals

Hi, I am very new to all this so please forgive me if I ramble or ask silly questions. I was wondering if/how others might incorporate their energy work into their own rituals/spells/wiccan practice, or maybe you treat these as separate things? I decided to try my first ritual today. I was left feel...

Re: Making a book of shadows from scratch

A binder sounds much more sensible and well organised :) It's turning out OK. Sewing together pages sounds like a faff, but it was really quite quick. The envelopes didn't work out, but nevermind. There's something quite pleasing about the little wodge of paper in my hand. I hope it still seems love...

Re: Hippos and wolves - Please Interpret?

Well, if the idea of water as representative of an emotional situation resonates with you, and the wolves get friendly (frankly it sounds like a nightmare to me, which is why its so important to look for your own interpretation!) then maybe this ending is telling you to dive in, because the situatio...

Making a book of shadows from scratch

Hi all, I hope this is in the right place. I am making my own book of shadows and wondered if anyone else had done this, or has suggestions for things to include. I am new to Wicca, but I did start an interest in it a few years back. I even bought a lovely little book to make into a book of shadows,...

Re: Hippos and wolves - Please Interpret?

I love dreams, and I think only the dreamer can really relate to the symbolism of their own subconscious. Anyway I thought I'd reply because the water in the dream hasn't been discussed much yet. Water tends to represent our emotional life - a choppy sea = turbulent emotions, a still lake = calm. I ...

Re: Must Haves

I think it's nice to have a crystal which feels grounding, a crystal which feels 'clearing', and a crystal to represent each of the chakras. I like to have some tumbled stones, and some natural ones. My favourites are clear quartz, rose quartz, haematite, citrine, lapis lazuli, selenite and amber :)
