I read in an Oprah magazine that to attract your perfect mate to yourself you should write a list of 100 positive things about them that you want. I tried it and I gave up at 75. Only 25 more to go. I'll get my list back out and see if i can't finish it, lol. You should try too!oh...Goddess, I've got plenty more on the list...these are just the most important things...

She did a whole episode of her show about The Secret, and had the creators of the DVD and book there. I got the book and ate it in about two sittings, and I've read it multiple times, lol. No DVD for me though.
I just checked my own list, and i must correct myself.. I only have 73 things, lol. Coming up with 100 things in a mate is hard, lol.
It's always so much fun to see what everybody else desires though, and now i'm curious, lol.

Yeah! I'm going to try that!
Though it seems like it would be easy at first then after the first 20 you want to jab the pen in your eye.
But I would be able to do it.
AND YOU CAN TOO!
=D

You'd be able to stick a pen in your eye?
hahaha...sorry...that was too good to resist.
For the list, I'd have to do it all surreal like;
honest but unpredictable
possessing gargantuan strength but peaceful
likes heavy metal and meditation...sometimes together
to really make it unusual, he'd have to like artists
that I don't like Monet and the Dutch "Masters"...blech...
No Pastel colors!!!
He'd say "let's get Japanese food..." and I'd be in the mood for Indian
and we'd find fabulous ways to compromise (like Dahl Makini
ans Sushi with Red Wine and something horrifically organic with no GMO's) and we'd plan a sky diving trip and end up drunken and laughing at each other and make every day a work of art...maybe not a masterpiece but
find the brilliance in life and wrap ourselves in it...and we'd know it
it's Maya...but we wouldn't care...and he'd know all about some subject about which I know nothing, but he'd make it interesting...and I could expound for hours and hours about religion and philosophy and he's be all..."go on...go on!"
Yah...I could do hundred things..
I just don't want to date myself...how boring would that be?

oh...hahaha...sorry, it's just the discussion we're having elsewhere about "love" kinda caught me off guard.
I've been advised by the Spirits (Praise the Ancestors) to say a few about the absolute impossibility about viewing this other as "the love, the light, the everything" if you know what I mean.
I am looking for him, because he has a role to fulfill in my life, and that role will be permanent (ie...he's the one...not "The One" because there IS NO "One")
(back to the list)
He'll be into a long term relationship, but won't feel 'tied down'
He's not interested in "swinging" per se...it's just that we'll be committed to each other first...because our roles in each others life will demand it .
In other wurdz (for you cleereez) this one will be the person with whom I will choose to stay...for the rest of our lives...but only if he stays asleep
He's not afraid of anything.
He won't be needy, so much as "just really likes to have me around"
He'll be totally devoted to the Great Goddess...for him, the Great She comes before 'the fabulous us'
He believes in the Ancestors, and makes offering to them as well.
But anyway, the whole point is the relationship will be mostly non-tantric....as in...he will not view me as a "deity" nor I him...we will however, choose each other over others...just not over Heaven.

I know how you feel. I nearly threw my pad out the window at 33. I tried getting my own list back to action, but I can't think of anything else new, lol. And it must ALL be positives, "He must", "He will", "He can", stuff like that, and I tend to be on the negative with stuff like "He mustn't" and that won't work, lol.Though it seems like it would be easy at first then after the first 20 you want to jab the pen in your eye.
I'll share a little bit of my list with you. :D:D:D
He must:
Be strong, physically and mentally.. Pickle jars = death for me, lol.
Only make promises he's 85% sure he can keep.
Know himself real well, I don't like it when people change from one thing to another all the time because they don't know what they want.
Appreciate the Arts. We'd be a team! I'd paint and he'd gawk at my paintings.
Adventurous, and brave. I am quite adventurous but I'm usually too scared to take the big leaps.
Be an outdoorsman. I love nature.
I'm a very goofy person in general, he must be able to understand my humor, lol. He also must be able to make me laugh. In the words of Yakov Smirnoff, "Laughter = Love".
He must have his own life, and his own hobbies, but willing to share them with somebody special.
He must be man enough to cry when he has to.. guys who try to be "macho" and won't cry when they need to have no balls..... i'm sorry, but they don't, lol. If crying's just not in their nature, and they just dont' get sad enough to, that's fine.
He just has to be health-conscious. I know everybody needs time to indulge in potato chips, but not all the time.
He must, must, MUST, have a decent sense of style.. the last guy i dated would leave the house wearing a Hawaiian shirt with CAMO pants!! akdfjhakjfhsdkjhfkjdash (<-- me spazzing out and hitting the keyboard).
He must be natural and like natural things. I dislike piercings and tattoos in general. If he has a pierced ear, lip, or something, that's fine, and maybe a small tattoo here and there is fine too, but i dislike it when people are covered in that stuff. It just seems so unnatural to me. Some like it and some don't... and I don't, lol.
Unnatural hair is ok though. wildly colored hair is awesome!
He must have some kind of religions values that are nearly the same as mine. Of course, I'm all over the place in the religion area, but either he should be a mess too, or should be able to accept my mess.
I'll stop before i go on too long, lol.

Juli'juliaki wrote:I was watching some old American WWII propaganda cartoons for a study I'm working on, and I had to laugh because the description that you listed was almost word-for-word how Americans described the ideal Nazi soldier.
So it sounds like I may have an idea of where you would look for someone like that...but I'm not sure that it would be a good idea to look there.
Oh Goddess...I just found this quote. Geez...well...no...I couldn't date a National Socialist...I did find this weird site though...something like Gay Skinheads...I was totally thrown off by it...like, they are national socialists, but they feel they are exempt from the Furher's edict on gays...weird...weird...weird.
One might think of it as a pink triangle with a swastika in the center or something creepy.
Anyway...just cause I like guys of Norse descent doesn't mean I'm a Nazi...but I know what you mean.
