This translation probably influenced by Latin paganus, "country dweller", or it was chosen because of its similarity to the Greek ethne, "gentile". It has even been suggested that Gothic haiþi is not related to "heath" at all, but rather a loan from Armenian hethanos, itself loaned from Greek ethnos.

Druidery is as far as I can go today as far as just reading about different Pagan traditions. For me it is probably as far as I can go and still have my reading relevant to myself at least in the broadest sense. I am sure I can learn something from every tradition out there.
