Full Moon... is it normal?

Can anyone else here tell whether the moon is actually full or just appearing full simply by feeling it? While on a smoke break, I saw the moonlight and for a second, wondered if it was full. I gazed at it for another moment, and instantly knew that it was still waxing. I can usually do this every month. When it's waxing, waning, or full, I can tell which one it is just by feeling it out. When it's full, I can usually tell that day before I can even see the moon. Is anyone else here the same way?

I can't tell unless it's dark but then I don't really need to go outside. If it's close to full either direction I have no problems seeing that it isn't complete but this is when I do need to look and see.

I can't sleep at full Moon, so yes, I feel the Moon's energy without having to see it. I am aware of the phases, as I think many are - it ties in with the menstrual cycle, after all.
