Scrying: optical depth

I often use an optical depth to "see". Two mirrors on opposite walls of a dark room, at approximately 5-6 feet of the floor, a candle below each to give indirect light. Sit in a comfortable chair so you can look up into one of the mirrors and see the optical depth. That view that shows reflection playing off of reflection, into an "infinite" repetition. With practice you can pick out the will be, might be and messing with your mind. With practice and concentration you can stay as long as you like.

Now the question. Have you heard of a way to use a double optical depth safely for more than a brief period? Use of 4 mirrors on the 4 walls of the room. You are seeing the first optical depth, the second optical depth and what I have come to call the "depth around the corner". If you stay to long it WILL mess with your mind. Yes, I found out because I was confident that having used an optical depth so many times with no ill effect I thought this will be the same. IT WASN'T. I have used it a few times at great need but have not become comfortable with it. Any insights or comments are more than welcome.

Ok, don't laugh. I've stood mesmerized in a triangle of full length mirrors. These mirrors hung in the women's clothing department of a store. The center one was fixed to the wall, and the 2 sides were on hinges, so you can see yourself from all sides, ad infinitum. Three mirrors was not at all displacing. Four is something like another dimension and boggles the 3-D mental capacity. That's my two cents worth of comment.

I like the idea. It seems like a good way to adjust the mind to a certain perspective.

As for the messing with the mind part, are you grounding yourself afterwards?

When ever I use an optical depth [either kind] I have a meditation ritual and time to center myself before I use the OD. Afterwards I meditate again and center back to my starting balance. My chair is in a carefully drawn circle. To filter my eyes I haven't a clue as to what kind of glasses would work. That was a general statement but you might want to know a little more about your "seeing". That's when you may get caught. during the "seeing", not after. That's the scary part, the possibility of losing yourself in a different place. Talk about a split personality - that's it.

This effect is due to moving from astral body , physical body effect with three mirrors ,
into a dreaming body - elsewhere effect with four.

The dreaming body is the one which works with the elemental currents of the tree ,
on the horizontal plane , light body the vertical axis.

Astral body is used to traveling "outward" , dreaming body is not , not in the same way.

My tradition uses this method for protection when this occurs :

Third column from left : the one which looks like an "M" with line through it , paired
with eight other runes. That is the column you want. I would make a copy of sheet ,
cut out that column vertically , paste it on another blank sheet , embed those symbols
in mind over time with meditation.

You may also draw these symbols on body , or make talisman to wear.
There are sonics there for chanting , if you choose to learn them and try them.

You will note that symbol in column , repeated eight times , looks like a "bird".

Think of certain spiritual body ideas , as that is how this "operates".

It is to be considered a "programming algorithm" for the mind.

If you note , this column deals with shades of blue , from a dusky blue at bottom pair
to a very light clear blue at top , due to pairings with companion runes.

By number value it equals 767.

You might find it interesting , and then applicable to note :

Of course as well , it is one who has already developed ability to work with deep magical
energy , and currents , who would benefit from this knowledge. This is NOT a "wear this
and you will be able to bend spacetime" necklace.

I do a skrying method outside and most usually using the grass or a distant bush as my "crystal ball" (for lack of a better word) by using a soft gaze (don't know how else to describe it exactly, but you loosen your focus on any one particular thing) as my eyes shift suddenly everything around looses it's 3-d capacity and becomes patterns of light and dark and color.
It would appear as though optical depth just disappears.

Going back to the endless reflected images, it seems as though each image is a hypothetical tract of time; one of the "self's" moments to which the mind connects to move from the "Here" to the "There". When we visualize a desired goal as a completed, done deal we are moving to There in the etheric time line.

It's done with mirrors, I knew it!
