Moonlight and Water

Good morning Everyone and Blessed Be!!

Hope that everyone is doing well. I just wanted to ask if anyone else does this:

When I was a child, my Dad taught me to leave my Crystals in clean water and leave out so the moonlight could re-charge them. I still do this to this day and either leave the Crystals out so the Sunlight of the next day can also bless and warm them, or use the water to water plants and things.

Yes, I cleanse crystals in running water and in moonlight too.
Using the water for your plants sounds like a great idea!

Charge in Sun, moon, or starlight, and to purify a grounding stone, add a pinch of charmed salt to the water. A dab will do you. Blessed Be.

I know that full moon light can be the base to a potion but qasnt aware of cleansing things like that, or that it could be done by starlight and sunlight. Iv just been using salt water and sage

I like to make crystal elixirs this way...research that the stone doesn't contain copper as these can be toxic, or set the stone beside and outside of the container or water. And please, if you add salt to the water, don't use the water on plants. (I know...nag, nag, nag.)

The light charges the salt, the salt purifies the grounding stone in the water. The light from moon, sun and stars can also charge a stone used for good luck, or love or healing, not just charge the salt to purify a grounding stone. Stones are Brilliant as they take in energy and alter it to their frequency. Salt does the same thing but creates a purifying energy to remove negative energies. Moonlight, Sunlight, and Starlight are some of the best natural power sources as they are all natural energy. The stones take the energy and transmute it into positive forces as does the salt. It's a great thing to know and I hope this knowledge helps you.

In my Tradition , we put a bowl of water , covered with cheesecloth ,
( for dirt and bug protection ) , outside on a wooden , or stone altar...

If it is on stone it also builds telluric current charge...

Now , if one wishes to just infuse the water with moon energy , for
certain spellwork , then begin on a new moon , and keep it only in
moonlight for a moonth , or 29.577 nights...

Make sure , as best you can , it is fully exposed to the moonlight
during this cycle , absorbing the energy of waxing , full , and waning...

( interesting note of linkage : Moon cycle : 29.577 nights / Saturn cycle 29.577 years )

Cover during day with a dark cloth , or bring inside during day , if you
just want lunar energy...

If you want to add solar energy , do the same...yet after 23 days , keep out of sun ,
and just keep charging with lunar energy for rest of moon cycle...

Why ?

Interestingly , female biorhythm cycle 29.577 days ( apprx ) , male biorhythm cycle 23 days...

And the sun has a full 23 year solar flare cycle...

Now , if one is adding starlight , purposefully , consider Northern or Southern hemisphere ,
and the stars most apparent in sky during your period of charging the water...

As well , some do bring in planetary alignments...

I can not remember the names right now , yet a father and son , in I believe France , did
an alchemical experiment , where ( as they were farmers ) collected dew , from huge fields
of grasses , over the period of a year , infused by moon and starlight...I believe early 1930's...

You might find it by googling "collecting dew for alchemical experiment "...

Just some thoughts...charging crystals...that would take me awhile to post what I , and one
of my friends , Marcel Vogel knew , and know...google Marcel Vogel for that...incredible soul !
