Women in Power!!!!

This may not get much press here. The news organizations have not picked up on it much. But this is huge news.....Michelle Bachelet won in a democratic election the Presidency of Chile. ( I live here!! ) This is huge news as she is a single mother and a socialist....exiled, tortured, emprisoned under the dictatorship.......I consider this to be huge news for the entire world, for women especially.
Yes, we are capable. Yes, we are over-due. Yes, we can do this!!!!

I am proud to have been one of the voters who supported her.
I wish her well.
For all of you, open your eyes, and see that women can do it!!! All over the world............open your eyes and see...........

I understand completely. I'm from New Zealand the first country in the world to give women the vote, yay us.
We have a woman Prime Minister, Helen Clarke. She's a bit hard but she's an awesome leader of the country, more countries should be governed by women.
Our Governor General is a Woman.
The head of Telecom is a woman.
The head of Vodafone is a woman too.
There are plenty of other women in power here but these are the ones that immediately came to mind
It all just goes to show we're just as good as the men, if not better.
