To cut, or not to cut....

Greetings All!

A short time ago I acquired a beautiful double terminated dravite (brown) tourmaline. This crystal is 3/4" in diameter, and just a little over 1" long. This thingie has a "weird" energy, nothing malevolent, but potent and "weird"......
Last night after a lunar clearing (still feeling potent and "weird"), I noticed that there were sections that I could see light through! There were inclusions, but it looks like a friend of mine could get a very attractive and unique faceted stone from this crystal. This would be a wonderful addition to my faceted watermelon, and my faceted dark green ( but not too dark)/clear bicolor tourmalines.
I spent over an hour meditating with this piece. I can feel the energy of this piece beyond any doubt, but "we" can't decide which way to go!
What do y'all think?

Can you link a picture? In this case, I feel like I'd have to see it. That's such a tough one. I wouldn't make this descision quickly..that's for sure.

I'm not too savvy on this sort of thing. My lovely Wife will take it with her to work tomorrow, take a picture, and try to post it here. She works for her parents, and her mom does this kind of stuff all of the time!

Did you ask the stone what it wants? There could be more than one sentience associated with it.

You better believe it! There are rough stones that I have cut or have had cut that there is no denying this is the way to go.
There are also other stones that I would meditate with to decide which way to go- some were cut and left unmounted, some were used in unique jewelry, some were left in their original form.

I have been working with stones / they have been working with me for over 50 years. I have a friend who is a gemologist that I have helped in gem shows for over 25 years. This allowed me to look for and find the "diamonds in the rough". I can honestly say that I have never met anything like this one before. When Kelly (my Wife) holds it, she says she can feel it "buzzing". When I was working with it last weekend it was like trying to play 20 questions with the Dali Lama while he is in the middle of meditation!
This one is different......

What a beautiful stone. I vote no cut.
It looks like it may be a generator of sorts. I would think cutting it would disturb that vibrating buzz.
It may be a grounding stone for other dark stones...hummm generating grounding?

I didn't want to sway it, but I totally agree. The facets are so strong as they are. That's what my eye went to immediately. It is almost like it broadcasts out from those strong natural angles. Crazy.

Last night was our local Pagan's Night Out. Without exception everyone agreed that I should leave it in the natural form.
When handling it, there were three people that could feel the "buzzing". This was without any type of prompting from me or Kelly whatsoever (Kinda freaked Kelly that they used that exact same description..... ). Only one person didn't like it and said it was evil. I believe she didn't like it, and it responded back in kind .
Anyhoo, it will get another good clearing after being handled by so many people (one person in particular......), then go in my personal collection.
