Wondering If Anyone Shares My Beliefs...?

Merry meet!
So, I've been exploring my spiritual path and when I came across Wicca, I was happy with how lax it was with religious views. At the moment, I'm agnostic. I believe in a higher power, but as of right now, I'm trying not to stress with it. Right now, I just really worship Nature, not as an entity but as a central energy source. If that energy comes from any one or more god or goddess, then so be it. But I do not feel that now is the right time for me to decide anything. Anyone else feel the same?

There is nothing wrong with what you are saying and how you are progressing. There is a difference between divinity and deity so you are right...there IS an ultimate creative force in the universe or a higher power as you say. There are even angels and demons as the Christians talk about in the bible. Christianity has some of the players right but a great deal of esoteric meat has been stripped away and replaced with mankind's nonsense and dogma.

All of the deities that folks are worshipping and work with also exist and they are powerful and should be respected. However there is no reason to rush into any kind of relationship with a deity just because your dipping your toes onto a magical path. When you have grown as a magician and can be of use to such a being...one will get in front of you when it wants your attention.

I think far too many folks end up playing spin the wheel to find out which deity should they serve. Magic can be learned and studied and will verify it's reality to you without the god and goddess worship. Just keep learning and reading and do so with the understanding that some of what you read may be utter nonsense and even regurgitated nonsense because authors that don't really know magic will often copy the work of author authors that didn't know it either but in time you will be able to distinguish between an author who does and does not know magic.

Again just aspire to learn magic and leave religion out of it. Best wishes on your magical journey.

Honestly, the gods and goddesses will make themselves known to you..thathat's how it happened for me. I didn't realize until later that that's what the snake on the roadroad was . Worshipping nature is a really good way to start because nature is so powerful..be careful. Many blessings on your journey.

On the other hand, while many pagans do work with personal deities, there are also those who do not, who never come to work with deity, or who do not believe in deity at all, and many who do just worship and celebrate nature as a literal force. There are lots of views about deity and deities in paganism, so you're certainly unlikely to be alone whatever path you find yourself on. You may wish to look into some of the other views out there, such as pantheism, which may fit in better with your beliefs than some of the more polytheistic views common in paganism.

I have been studying/practicing for about 20 years now and until just a few years ago did not follow one or any Deities. With our beliefs they may come to you in your time of need, you may also seek them out. There is no wrong way. Many of us do not follow any just give thanks and offerings to all as a whole. Following one or more is a personal thing you should take your time and continue to study and focus on what you need for your life. If a God/Goddess comes along and contacts you, listen to them, thank them, give offerings. They may stay, they may go it all depends on your individual needs. Blessed Be.

You just have to do what feels right when it feels right. No rush or pressure! I don't go around telling people I "practice witchcraft" or proclaim to be Wiccan officially because I've never made it official myself. And you don't have to pressure yourself to do so either.

Ever since I was younger I just felt a strange connection with energy and I talk to nature and bugs and birds and animals, like just saying Hello or good morning while I'm on my walk to work. Or thanking goddess for a beautiful storm or other weather. I incorporate it here and there, wear certain stones and have been carrying my rose quartz with me lately. I also meditate and give myself positive affirmations, just anything that is positive.

I've always had an inkling that I've been what they call a "natural" witch. It's just this thing inside of me that I can't deny or get away from, not that I want or need to. The people in my life have always kind of known that about me as well, and it's kind of an unspoken thing. So I just take it as it comes, which is something I think many of us here do.

It sounds to me as if you might be an animist or a pantheist. Both excellent points of view and I find, often the bedrock of many Pagan paths. Best of luck on your spiritual journey. <3

I am a pantheist. It is a good path, if that is your calling. You do not have to find a deity.
