Loud Twin Stars

This is a poem I wrote by listening to a song for inspiration. The title of the poem is the title of the song.

The world below the world is much sweeter
With the shadows and my fate beside me
I brave this wretched frozen world
Spiraling down into infinity I think
Am I happy like this?
Within my numb hands a warmth sprouts
Power to mold my destiny
With this I will survive
The rotten stares ruin me
My bones are weak, my heart stone
I reach for the glory-less sun
But it dissipates like mist
The stars are mocking me
So alone in this void called society I walk
I run and run to the golden door of paradise
But it only grows further away
Eye wet, I write my biography with the salty ink
Should I bleed? Should I dream?
The dice swims mockingly in my closed palm
It grins back and I falter
No light is left for me
Only fragments of what was
Cutting my fingers I put together the puzzle
The answer is a storm of despair
And then it all turns to ash
The world below the world is much sweeter.
