Finding your familiar in a pet store situation?

Post by Fie »

I'm buying myself a little mouse and I was wondering if there was anyway to discover my familiar in the pet store before I bring him/her home? Should I wear/have on me, things like my pendulum and favorite stones and necklaces in order to like attract my familiar to me? Or is it kind of impossible in that kind of situation?

Thanks, sorry if it sounds stupid >_<

if you can hold them beforehand (majority of pet stores will let you) then you will feel that spark, that connection that human recieves when they have found the perfect familiar.

Whilst in the pet store, try waiting to see if the mouse chooses you, look for a sign such as the mouse coming up close to you or scratching on the glass next to you.

Thanks guys :) Another really random question, does anyone know if stores like Petsmart require you to be 18 to buy a mouse? I know at the store I used to work at, it wasn't required for something so small.

I think you might, in California, you have to be 16. With mice, I don't think so.

Thanks =) Turns out you do have to be, which is fine, I got it all figured out. But I went into the store today and there just happened to be this rare color I'd been dying for, and he was a sweetie too =D I'm going back on monday, unfortunately though I have to leave it up to fate that he's the one and someone else doesn't take him home before me >_< Oh well, if it's meant to be, it will be =)

To follow up, I got him =) his name is going to be Pippin, Pan or Shaymon, he's too scared right now for me to connect with him, but he's settling down so it's all good ^^ He's a pretty light brown color with a dark brown brindle pattern!
