In silence you wait
The darkness envelops you
There a light you see in the distance
He’s there you see him
A feeling of false hope fills you
But in that sudden moment
He’s gone back into the shadow
And then you sit
Alone in the dark
Surrounded by friends
A ring of pure light
But still you stare
Into empty space
You feel secluded
And there you sit
Alone in the dark
The family surrounds you
At the table they sit
Your off to the side
in your own little click
They celebrate and laugh
and chuckle and beam
But there you sit
Alone in the dark
You climb up the stairs
step by step you rise
drift into a waking sleep
The lights are out
the door is locked
and there you sit
alone in the dark.

Marie
My brown eyes burn with tears unshed
As I lay alone, yet safe in my bed
How I would adore having someone to hold
But I’m afraid to reach out, dare I be bold?
If I reach, things may be revealed about me
Dare I do it? Do I let them see?
My secret isn’t something I see wrong
But if it came out would I still belong?
Would they all still treat me the same?
Or would friends then look at me in shame?
Would they giggle or point or ostracize
Will conflicts then begin to arise.
But friends, true friends should love me no?
The light should shine through there love will flow
Through my mind my spirit my body and heart
And I’d have the ability to not fall apart
So now I have the energy to say
All who don’t care just go away.

That was very well written! I loved the wording, and becasue I am different I would title it some random word out of the poem, I would proabably title it "ostracize". But that's the word that stuck out to me. I really like it!

Beauty.
Thru hardships and obstacles
Unfortunate times and pains
We may feel down and broken
But remember beauty forever remains
We may think we look bad
To fat, to thin, to pale
Sometimes we do feel sad
But remember beauty does not stale
We start off young and full of zest
We give it all and do our best
We grow old and start to think
My life’s gone by in just a blink
We wrinkle and brittle and crack and break
But never a vacation does beauty partake
Things always change, they never stay the same
Things become exciting ,or hurtful, or lame
But look down deep and you may find
Something to be found in all of mankind
A quality we all continue to share
Yet a uniqueness we all seem to bear
You have a beauty, she does, and I
You just have to see deeper then the natural eye.

The need to feel different
Or the need to feel the same
Ask the simple question
Who’s the one to blame?
Could it be the media
The flashing lights and stars
Or could it be the parents
Who set to high of bars
Could it be an insecurity
To feel out of place
Or could it be your scared
To show your ugly face?
Well beauty is there
In the eye of the beholder
You realize this fact
As your years grow older
You don’t have to change
To be suave or cool
Or dress a certain way
To fit in at school
I believe your beautiful
Just the way you are
don’t put yourself down
Cause baby you’re a star
So be yourself all the time
Who cares what others say
Live life to the fullest
Each and every single day.
Yea sure you can do that, all I ask is that you dont claim them as your own. Now im not saying your gonna go and do that but i just want to be safe. Sorry if i come off rude its not how i intend it:)
The only perfection I see in you
Is the imperfection which makes you true
The big nose, feet, or hands
Your snotty ‘tude your rude commands
Your acne that covers half your face
You hide behind walls ashamed, disgraced
I understand why you think you must hide
Because so many young people idolize
The thinness of body and the pearls for teeth
All the beauty and glamour crushes beliefs
We were made to be equal not singled out
Because of our beauty inside not out
So we don’t have the money or fame
This isn’t a contest it isn’t a game
To me its about being the best you can be
No matter the crowd or who’s there to see
I’m looking and watching to make sure you
don’t care what they say, you stick to your glue.
My plane of life is shrouded
Hazy beyond compare
The sky I see is polluted
Were running out of air
Running out of thoughts
And running out of needs
Tired of surviving
Tired of all the deeds
I’m tired of not knowing
What my course in life will be
If only this mist would rise
If only I could see
Where I will be going
Or what I will do
The one thing that I ask
Is that I will always have you.
Wow those poems are really good. Your really talented!

Romany Saying~
"the tatcho drom to be a jinny penmergo is to dik, to shoon and to rig drey zi"
The true way to be a wise man is to see, to hear and to bear in mind.
The lies, and deceit
were woven tightly around me
and for this, I despise myself
but fear not my soul
for i do not despise you,
actually, i pitty your existence.
If you feel you must lie to ease by in this lifetime,
then so be it, let me not be the one to stop you,
but know this,
I do not stand for the lieing
nor do i stand for pain
I do not stand for the crieing
nor anything you gain
you decieve your true self
and thats fine with me
but ever try your tricks again
Ill make sure you clearly see
I do have the strength
to rip you off your throne
to tear your black heart out
and make you fear being alone.
I miss the nights I spent with you
The rise and fall of your chest
As you breathe the night away.
I miss the feelings that arose
Deep within my soul
Every time we touched,
Every time we spoke.
I miss the feel of your lips
Of my arm around your hip
Your arms around me.
I miss the pressure of your body
The heat and passion which
Consumed us both.
I miss the way you smile
The way you walk
Just about everything you are
I miss you, all of it
And if I were to retrace
Steps I took with us
Could it be different?
I’m sure it could have been great
But I lost it all
I love you, I always will.
If someone were to ask me
The highlights of my life
The time with you
Would have to be on that list
