Honoring the Departed with the Elements

My grandfather died several years ago, and my grandmother in December. With Samhain coming up, I'm looking for a way to honor their memories. Since my beliefs and practices lie mostly with the elements, I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for associating the two ideas. They were really important to me, and I have an incredible desire to do something in their honor. Thanks!
