Re: What is your mantra?
I always like to say:
I will not let you/this disturb my inner peace.
It really helps me whenever I'm in a situation that gets me particularly mad or makes me feel negative :p

Thanks guys! I like both of your mantras. Some people really suck all the life and energy from you.
Sorry for the delay!

Re: What is your mantra?
I meditated to find my mantra; I'd have to say that my first real experience in meditation for an answer really worked out.
Goddess, hold me and help me to grow;
Allow me to change all the truths that I know.
Lend me your light and your darkness today
So in peace with our spirit forever I'll stay.
I'm thinking about writing an actual chant for it, perhaps even composing a full song. ^_^

That ones reminds me of Popeye the Sailor's quote: "I yam what I yam, and that's all that I yam."firebirdflys wrote:I am a Sweet Potato,

Haha... love lame jokes! No offense! Who doesn't like those types of puns?

Re: What is your mantra?
hehehe, sorry..but it seemed to figure within the I am, what I am...for I AM. Or something like that, eh...one of those bible words. I guess Popeye was a religious bloke!
But also, think of the idea of the WHOLE,... and that I am the God/dess. I am a part of them and they are a part of me.
therefor I AM.
another morning mantra I like came from the Gayatri, or at least it is a loose translation that. I believe Ralph Blum paraphrased ( so coming from him it could be way off ) but I like the message...
Face the Sun in the morning and channel the beams of light towards your heart and recite this:
You who are the source of all illumination,
Illuminate also my heart,
So it too can do your work.
I like to do this with some smudge, makes a real good eye opener!
Blessings, Firebird

Re: What is your mantra?
Aria, I missed your post! I really like that quote you put up.
Don't you mean I Yam? haha. It's nice to know that we are just as close to the God and Goddess as they are with us. Makes it feel intimate. I don't know who Ralph Blum is but that's what google is for

You can find the chant on Youtube ("She Changes"); I find it very beautiful and empowering.
What a great thread, by the way - thanks for starting it!
I love this.. .
Mine is quite simple. And I blame Ellen for is.. Her character Dori on Finding Nemo.
"just keep swimming..just keep swimming"
This of course is not a magickal mantra.. However, it keeps me afloat!

Re: What is your mantra?
My mantras are usually in Sanskrit and to my deities. I use my mala and chant these 108 times during meditation. If you work with a deity I would find one that might be linked to them and chant that to invoke them during meditation.
Like I notice you have Ganesh as your avatar. There are some great ones to him. I use Om Gam Ganapataye Namah.
