A New One - Lightning Inspired

Post by AzureImpaler »

I wrote this one last night, as a thunderstorm flew overhead in the course of one hour. Normally, I upload these elsewhere, but today, I give you guys a special poem. I wrote this after standing alone in front of my house, watching nature work it's magic. I was inspired so, and thusly wrote this poem only for myself in my book of writing. (a book, I have not shared from before... ever.) I hope you guys like it.

* * * * * * * * * *

Lightning flashes as I stare,
Eyes unblinking in the air,
Thunder claps a great fanfare,
The voice of nature, ours to share.

Thinking deeply in the wind,
Freezing raindrops on my skin,
Sing applause in steely din,
Just as countless falling pins.

Glorious white encased in blue,
Enlighten what should be held true,
These mighty flares act holy, too,
For I can only think of you.

The storm is passing and moves on,
But deep within, it is not gone,
My heart is eased by nature's song,
I now know peace, I now know calm.
Eternity begins, and ends, with the ocean's tides.
