Gazebo (by Dara)

Gazebo

My precious gazebo rests
in the deep boscage
glowing white, pulsing slowly like
all things surrounding
its intricate trellis weaved like silk
on lace creating structure and
space, light as a feather
as if resting on a forgotten leaf, its halo hangs
held only by thought.
A nearby birch, abused by violent weather
exposes its naked brown skin
gently encasing pulsing life within
allowing shadows to rest where they may.
From a distance, Spanish moss drips
glistening
sacrificing what it can
to tickle the top of my small gazebo
just as sunlight peeks over the lilies
to shock the brook into
silent submission.

Hauntingly beautiful, Dara! You really have the gift of expressive writing.

Thank you for sharing with us. :28:

Thank you. It's a bit more provocative than I had expected it to turn out, but I like the word you used, "haunting". I think that fits very well. Thanks for your comments. They are truly appreciated.

Great imagery and feeling. I agree with MoonStone :)
"Whoever undertakes to set himself up as judge in the field of truth and knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the Gods." -Einstein

There are always facts, the best most of us can do is try to continuously adjust our opinions to become closer to those facts. For that, there is Science and Philosophy. One to argue facts and one to argue opinions. The result: The big bang is some sort of sexual innuendo resulting from your subconscious.
