There are tons of great books for sure. My suggestion for a beginner is "The Book of Wicca" Lucy Summers. It is straight forward introduction to magickal tools, the wheel of the year, circle casting, etc. You will be up and practicing immediately. A great reference book for crafting staff and wand and all things essential is "Grimoire For The Apprentice Wizard" Oberon Zell-Ravenheart. This is by far among my most treasured book. It is well indexed and is the text book for the Gray School of Wizardry.
Truth and Reality are highly guarded secrets. Nothing is as it appears. "The ONENESS sleeps in the stone, breathes in the plant, dreams in the animal and awakens in man" (Indian proverb)
