Candle Spell for Balance

Needed: 1 long orange candle
Length of blue yarn to wrap 1/3 of the way up the candle from it's bottom most point
Lavender candle anointment oil

anoint the candle with lavender oil
Wrap the blue yarn from the bottom up while saying

I here bind
Balance between
Heart, body and Mind

Wrap the yarn around the candle until it is 1/3 of the way up. Burn the candle when needed for balance. Please do not leave candle unattended because yarn can be flammable. I really don't want the bad karma of being part of burning your house down. When it has melted down half way, bury the remainder in the ground of the place you reside saying the above chant. If you live in an apartment building you could use any ground space around the building: i.e, - flower or hedge beds or any grassie patch in close proximity to the building.

I think it would help readers if you told us why you chose an orange candle & lavender oil, and the significance of wrapping the candle in yarn. NewBs will not understand sympathetic actions or know color &'scent properties.

I use an orange candle because it stimulates both physical and mental energy. There will be energy to make up any lack and bring them into balance. I use lavender oil for healing and purifying. This brings the Spirit into balance with your physical and mental attributes. The yarn binds these together and you melt the wax over the yarn to give it permanence.

Sorry for the omission. I'm use to just doing, not teaching, a working of the Craft.

I would use a blue thread because that is a contrast in color that brings about balance.

Thanks FB. I haven't thought about the color wheel for complimentary colors since art class many moons ago. If you wanted to You can use black if it's used on Samhain.
