Coffee Shop Magic
Coffee Shop Magic
Hi everybody!
Hope you all are having a blessed morning.
I work in a coffee shop and find it hard to enjoy myself at work.
I have been trying different little things but find it hard to find magic in my workplace.
Does anybody have some ideas of ways, incantations, spells, etc that might bring me more peace at work?
Like I said, getting through the work day has become such an unpleasant thing. I know magick is not a cure all but I'd like to put a little bit of magic into every aspect of my life to bring positive energy

Could you pinpoint specific things at work that make it hard for you to find it enjoyable?
For example, specific coworkers? The general atmosphere? Some habits of management? Is it the customers? A specific customer? Is it the monotonous drone that everyday work can sometimes feel like?
Having specific points to target should help with the potency of anything members here can help think of.

I think for me it is knowing that I have to be there for so many hours, and I can't leave. Also, the customers can be very rudeVesca wrote:Could you pinpoint specific things at work that make it hard for you to find it enjoyable?

My little mantra for work is : "Ah Jeah!"
I use it when I'm bored, tired, frustrated and etc. Making up silly things is the most professional way I've found to goof off at work.

I keep a list of things I can afford because I am at work in my pocket. When things suck I look at it and it helps me truck on through the shift
-Rent paid on time
-Going out to dinner
-I get to see a movie
Whatever is relevant for the moment.

A yawn is a silent scream for coffee.

It's weird how there's both internal conflict in that sentence and wisdom at the same time. lol

I'm pretty sure you can't like a job the whole time, there's bound to be times when you're just... not a fan.

My deeply wise and highly esoteric and magical advice is this:
Find another job.
Life's too short to be miserable every day.

I agree. I know sometimes it can be difficult to find a job, but if you are unhappy with the current one, the best you can do is try and find one you like.Imperious wrote:My deeply wise and highly esoteric and magical advice is this:
