Here is a picture of my current altar setup on a table in my study.

Image

I have a decent amount of stones up there as I'm huge on crystal healing. The large one is selenite. I used a piece of coral my brother got me from the ocean floor in the phillipines ( I have no idea how it made its way through customs ).
I have yet to find a proper Athame that suits itself to me; so I'm doubling an Athame/boline. My father got me that knife in Kuwait. It has a Goats head on the handle, as well as some goats on the sheath ( I am a Capricorn )

So things I want to work on are:
Proper Athame ( I know a fair I can go to where I can purchase one )
Larger Feathers ( prefer a ravens )
Candle Snuffer
And I really want some deadly nightshade on there as well. I'm IN LOVE with deadly nightshade, Belladonna as well. Such beautiful flowers I tell ya.

I'll post more pictures of my workings as I go along. I have a nice stash of essential oils, and a nice stash of herbs as well. smiley_dance

Love, and Light.

Wow, I've never seen a chunk of selenite that big outside of a geological museum display! Really cool.

Haha, thanks everybody! The piece of selenite is from a metaphysical shop called open doors in my town. They have a vast array of crystals and herbs and such. I picked up a bunch of goodies today.

And yes the temp athame soon to be boline is from Kuwait, so I'm sure you probably saw something similar in Iraq!

How do you blow flat glass? (Sorry, don't know much about glass production)
I'd like to say, your blade is really perfect...esp since it has the goat heads :)

That fabled mirror in Lovecraft's story comes to mind where the mirror was forged around a pre-existing mirror with an ancient heritage of being a gateway between realms and being a window to divining and calling upon specific deities. It had a spiral type pattern inside the pre-existing mirror that could only be seen at a certain angle in a certain kind of light and if one was called to the mirror and touched the center of that spiral they would be brought within the other realm, their body becoming reversed from the inside out (as well as colors becoming inverted)...

Anyway... *goes off to doodle in her notebook again*

I should point out that while I made that scrying mirror, I did not produce the glass myself! oops!

And Vesca!! that's very interesting. I would like one of those mirrors. Do people still make them?

Considering the Lovecraftian mirror is from a fictitious story... I doubt they ever made them. :P It did make for an interesting story though, and an interesting forum tie-in. Because I'm a dork. >.>
