It was no secret the Robin was depressed, and had been for a very long time. He struggled with substance abuse which is common for depressed people. It also helps the pain.

I unfortunately have a nauseating hunch it may have been accidental asphyxiation had he been dabbling in air deprivation as a form of catching a buz. David Carradine died this way.
We may know more soon, as the autopsy sould be out in a few weeks.
Still can't believe we won't get to see how funny he would have been in his Sage years :(

Many of our best comedians suffer from depression, comedy is a way of covering up their pain, I dont know what his pain was exactly, some how I missed that, or maybe he never said.
This could be a warning sign too. If someone constantly uses humor to avoid dealing with problems, they may need help.

Oh, yes. I knew of his depression but te extent I never saw. ): he will always be my role model.
