Merry meet everyone! I haven't been online too much lately but I have a good excuse - I was on vacation
I wanted to ask you all if you have any recommendations for books about Goddesses, Gods -( mostly patron deities ), and spirits. I would love to have a big book filled with every deity out there, whether it be Egyptian, Hindu, Greek, Roman, etc. Mostly I am interested in the Hindu Gods and Egyptian Gods. There is a book called "The Encyclopedia of Spirits" by Judika Illes but am afraid to buy it because I cannot seen what exactly is in the book. Does anyone have this book?
Does anyone have any ideas? Or even websites I can check out until then?
Thank you and blessed be!

Re: Books on Deities
I recommend the following books which both can be found on Amazon at decent inexpensive prices. The Book of Gods & Goddesses: A Visual Directory of Ancient and Modern Deities Hardcover
by Eric Chaline
Gods and Goddesses: A Treasury of Deities and Tales from World Mythology Hardcover
by Elizabeth Hallam
A Couple of great websites are http://ancienthistory.about.com/library ... _index.htm
and http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/godsand ... eities.htm
I hope this helps you. Blessed Be.

I could probably use some of those books too!

If you want some on God's and goddesses in general I really like the witches God and the witches goddess by Stewart Farrar.
