My Garden

Post by Bellia_Arian »

Since I have had to move and because of the winter, I don't have a garden. But when I do(I LOVE plants) I have all kinds of flowers. Here are a few that go in my garden...

I have many others but you can only post three pics at a time lol...I'm also into carnivorous plants like the Cobra Lily or the Purple pitcher plant. Some of the other house plants are small palms, bonsai and bamboo. When I have time I will share some pictures :)

I love the amaranthus, we use it in the flower shop all the time, ...unfortunately it make me itch, so I gotta wash up right after handling it.
Beautiful colors in that top picture ...do you know the variety of this particular amaranthus? so cool...

This variety provides fiery color for months during the summer. It features tall sturdy columns that have bright green leaves below a dense packed foliage of gold and crimson. This foliage stays colorful from midsummer clear until frost season. I really love it! Check out the Pitcher plant, its carnivorous...love it :)

Nope I don't have a greenhouse, would really like to have one tho! I'm so into plants, espcially the exotic kinds. I have venus fly traps as well, those are in their own little type of "greenhouse" container..bought them that way! I'll have to put up pictures of my Bonsai plants to, also have Bamboo..the kind you see at a Chinese resturaunt!

The selections sound amazing. Amaranth can be use as a grain, I think. Are you growing it for that purpose?

I am planting vegetable seeds right now, and trimming last's years plants down.

My first hyacinth bloomed this week, and it gave me so much energy to get started, seeing that.
