Crimson Crown

Post by Rynn Aethelraed »

In the stillness of autumn morning, centered upon the hilltop high
Tis there that stands an age old tree, with a crown to reach the deep blue sky
An ivy bearded king from the days of old his majesty stands for all to see
A royal line that is strong and bold, do not forget your dying king

A giant silhouette in pale moonlight, he leads the others in mighty force
Together resolved in their last night, in the mighty halls of their lonely court
And when they come to gather their fruits, the trees will shout their battlecry
For when they come, they'll deepen their roots for gentle souls are about to die

In all their color and and all their glory, time has given the world to see
The trees have given their last farewell with all the colors of their fallen leaves
Save one alone, the last one standing, your dying king with his crimson crown
In the autumn myst his soul is grieving for all the trees that have been cut down
