Pyrite is a very common mineral found on every continent of the planet. It is a definite YANG stone promoting masculine force(s) of the universe. It works on the physical levels of existence and charges up the solar plexus chakra and the root chakra. It adds energy and protection to one's auric field. It is, foremost, a stone of CONFIDENCE. Users of pyrite will feel an extra sense of affirmation concerning their rightful place in the world. Wearing or carrying pyrite can help give you the zeal to achieve great feats in your daily life. It is a stone of ACTION. The capitalist gold hunters of old would search for gold and often be deceived by Iron Pyrite showing up in their pans. It is pyrite that came to be known as fool's gold. The irony is that finding fool's gold only served to ENERGIZE the hunt for actual gold and reinforce the WILLPOWER to keep on searching. In fact, it can help to give one an Iron Will if it is needed. Pyrite flecks are found in Lapis Lazuli--a very mystical stone--as well as many types of Jaspers, like "Starry Jasper"--you guessed it!: The "stars' in "Starry Jasper" are pyrite. There is another mineral combo out there called "Healer's Gold" which is maganese and pyrite interlaced. I highly recommend using this stone as it energizes like pyrite loves to do, but the maganese content keeps it practical and on the ground. Pyrite is ok for daily use as it never gets tired. But, be sure to balance out all of this yang/male energy with some softness from time to time. Pyrite helps us "git 'er done"--so get out there my friends, and just DO IT!!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
