Karma Yoga

Post by Y0m »

The powerful yogic process I've taken to.

If you are interested in burning up your karma, creating everlasting peace and joy residing in yourself, and becoming unmovable by the greatest of forces, this practice is for you.

It takes great determination and much much discipline.
Not for the faint of heart.

Even so anyone will benefit from this teaching, taken directly from the Bhagavad Gita

Step one,
Learning about Karma

Everyone must engage in some sort of activity in this material world. But actions can either bind one to this world or liberate one from it. By acting for the pleasure of the Supreme, without selfish motives, one can be liberated from the law of karma (action and reaction) and attain transcendental knowledge of the self and the Supreme.

Step two,
Transcendental Knowledge

Transcendental knowledge - the spiritual knowledge of the soul, of God, and of their relationship - is both purifying and liberating. Such knowledge is the fruit of selfless devotional action (karma-yoga). The Lord explains the remote history of the Gita, the purpose and significance of His periodic descents to the material world, and the necessity of approaching a guru, a realized teacher.

Step three,
Action in god consciousness

Outwardly performing all actions but inwardly renouncing their fruits, the wise man, purified by the fire of transcendental knowledge, attains peace, detachment, forbearance, spiritual vision and bliss.

Step four,
Meditation on God in the Heart

Ashtanga-yoga, a mechanical meditative practice, controls the mind and senses and focuses concentration on Paramatma (the Supersoul, the form of the Lord situated in the heart). This practice culminates in samadhi, full consciousness of the Supreme.

This is great Y0m because I was meditating on creating a post about this today. My interests are in removing the karma of groups especially generational curses in health, early death, and finance. If anyone has any information on this please post.

I am certain there are rituals that can be done to alleviate these things but I do not know about mantras as some have suggested. Perhaps you and HerbalTradition will have some wisdom in this regard.

I am most interested in cross cultural perceptions of karma. I want to know how all cultures have encountered this phenomena and what medicines and remedies they have created.

These are some things I can think of that can help us to find out more information about our personal and collective karma and how we can heal and liberate ourselves:

Past Life Regression
Tarot Spreads for Past Life Lessons
Numerology
Storytelling
Holy Vows

And here is a free numerology caluculator for personal karma:

You are either for Life or against It. There is no in between.

I used to believe in god above. Now I'm filled with so much love.-Erykah Badu after the invocation of the Goddess

That's what's up.

I know there are some divination methods (Tibetan Bon Astrology, Ifa Divination) that can predict premature death and prescribe offerings to avert it. One offering I saw was a horse.

This mantra helps with hardships, sickness, or if death is waiting.
For added benefits you can always make food, incense, and candle sacrifices to Lord Shiva (who the mantra is directed towards). Never make animal sacrifices... it will add to your karma.

Called the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra
Or the "Great Death Conquering Mantra"
