Meditation to meet your spirit guide

I found this offline, I just thought that I would post it for all of you that wish to meet yours. I am doing it (again) because I was told in a previous meditation that I should. So, here you guys go:


1. Sit on the floor or in a chair or lay in your bed. Were ever you chose be sure to be comfortable and relaxed.
2. Close your eyes.
3. Breath deeply and slowly.
4. Allow all your muscles to relax.
5. Visualize your Crown Chakra. Note: picture a large orb of white light/energy located above your head.
6. Now visualize a chord of white light/energy running from your crown chakra down your spin and all the way down through the Earth. Deep into the core.
7. Visualize your energy connecting with that of the Earths.
8. Feel the warm energy of the Earth flowing through your body and feel its power increasingly strengthen you
9. Allow the power to surge through your entire body: your arms, legs, fingers,toes and so on.
10. Allow the power to build within, till you create a slight "light/energy cocoon" that envelops your entire body. [Note: this should be seen as a slight aura (or an energy field if you will.) made of similar energy that is now flowing through you - emanating approximately an inch or two in thickness from all around your body.
11. Now allow the Darkness behind your eyelids to envelop you.
12. Visualize a white light shining up ahead of you.
13. (Note: while still visualizing) begin to walk towards this light
14. Notice as you get closer that the light is actually a doorway to another realm.
15. Pay close attention to the details. (ask yourself: what does the door look like to me? what is it made of?)
16. Now when you have reached the door, open it. See the beauty of your surroundings, lush forest, deep canyons, vast sea's, and so on, and step out onto the ground.
17. Take care to take in all the details of the area: trees, shrubs, weeds, grass, flowers, etc.(ask yourself: are there rivers and streams around?
18. Walk around to enjoy and explore everything that is surrounding you.
19. When finished exploring, look ahead of you and see a pathway.
20. Visualize yourself stepping onto that path.
21. Walk for a while
22. Then pause
23. Listen carefully to your surroundings and wait.
24. Soon you may see your animal guide approach you.
25. Take as much time as is necessary....until your guide finds you.
26. When you finally see your guide you should politely greet him/her.
27. Then I believe the best first question is: What is your name sir/ma'am?
28. After that your welcome to ask what ever is on your mind.
29. Your guide will motion to you when the meeting is over.
30. Thank him/her
31. Say your farewells
32. Promise a return visit. (I have read your relationship and bond with your guide will grow if you visit often)
33. Walk slowly back to the doorway from before.
34. Visualize yourself walking through it again.
35. Step back into the darkness once again.
36. Notice another light up ahead.
37. Walk to that light.
38. Visualize it slowly enveloping you and surrounding your entire body.
39. NOW OPEN YOU EYES!
40. Your journey is finished. now write your experiences down if you wish. they may not make sense now but they will later.

So for the 32 what we do? we don't call the wolf spirit guide right? can I copy this to my book of shadows? its no coincidence you became a moderator, you always post great stuff, thanks!

In step 32 you've already met your spirit guide, so obviously you just insert what you've seen. If you haven't met him so far, just call him guide. Don't give him a form befor you've met him, maybe he doesn't like to be the shape of a wolf?

And I wouldn't include a protecting circle, that's kind of mixing systems.

Thank you so much for posting this! I've been trying to contact my spirit guide for quite some time now but I never found a method that worked well for me. I gave this a try this afternoon and it worked very well for me!

It doesn't always work the first time. You have to imagine all of this happening. If you could daydream about meeting a great lover, you could imagine this

Thats where I got my mad visualization skills ;D

I love that, if you can imagine a lover you can imagine this, love that )) I'll first try to imagine my lover and than the guided meditation it will be a warm up )

I did one attempt at this so far,but got interrupted,but I was having troubles getting the cocoon of energy visualized effectively.
