Holiday Potpourri

Post by Firebird »

Yum, the fragrances of the season. :fairy:
So many yummy spices and scents. Some which release a natural kind of disinfectant into the air as well!
I made a spicey fruity blend! (I'll be back soon with ingredients)

Hi again!
So mostly you will need es. (essential) oil of
Bay,
Orange and
Cinnamon (I used two different kinds, cinnamon leaf and cinnamon bark)

The curly cues I made by rolling up tangerine skins and letting them sit a day. Then slicing them cross section with a sharp knife. Then set in the sun to dry a couple days or so.

this is what I used but you can substitute other dry products (like moss or acorns)

Equal amounts of:
Pomegranate pods (dried)
Bay leaves (slightly broken)
Cinnamon pieces (crushed cinnamon bark)
Anise pods (spice rack at the market)
Orange curly cues (home made as above)

I added several drops of orange oil to the curly cues.
several drops of bay oil to the bay leaves and
several drops of the two kinds of cinnamon oil to the cinnamon pieces
Then just mix all the other dry ingredients together.

Place in bowl in the sunlight to release the fragrance!
I think this blend could also be simmered in the mini Crock pots we were talking about earlier.

Blessed Winter Solstice!
