i am trying to tack down a long lost friend so i can mend a few jagged ends between us. we had a ....um....er...... well it was complicated whatever it was.......and i have a need to set things to rest in person. does anyone know of any spells that might help?

Do you have a picture of this person? You could do a calling ritual to this person. If you don't have a picture you would have to be able to visualize him pretty well. You can also use a mirror as a portal to call for him or write him a letter which you can burn and ask the gods/fates to take to him.
