Reshaping Selenite?

I have this selenite wand, about 5 inches in length. Or rather, was 5 inches. I bought it a few years ago but it broke in half shortly after I got it. I never knew what to do with it. But I recently decided I wanted to reshape the pieces and attach them to another piece of selenite I've been using as an athame to give it a more traditional dagger look. I know selenite is fragile and toxic, so I will be careful.

How could I go about doing this? Cheaply?
