Which method do you prefer when using crystals in healing. I usually lay them on the area I'm trying to heal for as long as possible, but are there any better ways. Are they more effective when laid directly on the skin? That's what I always thought.

As with most Magick, using your instict works best...If it feels right to you then it probably is the right way. Depending on what your ailment is, picking the right stone is key here. Often I sit with the stone in my receptive hand and do a Visualization meditation. Consentrating on the area that needs work. I visualize a bright blue light (almost like a liquid) flowing from the stone, through my hand, up my arm and to the area that is 'damaged' Most of the times it's my lower back...so I 'see' the light travel down my spine and 'attack the pain..this can take a few minutes or half an hour. Depending on whether it's a good day or a bad day. Once I feel like i've done the right amount of work, I ground myself. Immiediatly cleanising my stone after that. This technique works great for me. If laying the stone on the area that needs work is what helps you then, like I said...thats the right way.
