Grimalkin
Grimalkin
Hello! I'm Grimalkin - or Cat, if you prefer.
I'm 23 and live in Scotland. I don't really know what I believe right now. I had a strong interest in Wicca as a child, an older friend was a witch and I was fascinated by it all. When I was a teenager I rejected all religious belief and I'm only now being drawn back to it. So... Bear with me while I figure things out.
Anyway, thank you for having me. I hope to learn a lot from this forum and hopefully contribute a bit as well.

Welcome to the forum!
Feel free to ask any questions, though the forum has alot of information already that might interest you. There's also a few good book lists (most of the books can be found online) you might want to take a look at.

Re: Grimalkin
Welcome fellow feline. I've been known as both Grimalkin and Cat in the past. I love that someone else has the same inclination.

Hi there! I've only just started using Grimalkin, I like it though! I think I'll stick with it.
It's nice that everyone's not just like "what in the world is a grimalkin!?"

Re: Grimalkin
Grimalkins are very special. I have a Grimalkin at home. He's steel gray and mostly feral, despite having human contact since birth. Sometimes he gets a craving for attention and wants a neck rub, but he's mostly anti-people.

Oh how fab! Whats he called? I would probably get on his nerves. I can't leave cats alone for long, I can't resist the urge to pet them.

Re: Grimalkin
Well I feel silly for asking...what does Grimalkin mean?
Re: Grimalkin
I spoke too soon!
It's an old name for a cat. It's usually linked with witchcraft and devilry and whatnot. There are quite a few stories about the grimalkin. They tend to vary but it's usually a grey cat or the Cat Sith, who is mostly black and as big as a dog.
Do you ever get it when you go to explain something and your mind goes completely blank? I've got that just now. blue_blank
It's also a name for an old, witchy type of woman.

Ah, I like that I think I have heard that in the past, in reference to an old witch woman. I'll have to look up some stories! Thank you for making me a little smarter todayGrimalkin wrote:I spoke too soon!
