Just Received a bunch of tumbled stones!
Some of them I'm pretty sure I've identified correctly, but some of them I'm still not sure, and many of them I have NO IDEA. These pictures will show about a third of the stones I just got. Many of the ones I can't yet identify are not yet pictured. Please contribute if you think you can identify one, or you think I got one wrong! The labels are written beneath each stone. More posts coming.

The side view (first) of this makes me think this is malachate, the top and bottom... I need some reassurance.

The one that is way orange on the other side is probably fire agate or carnelian. The blue chalcedony could also be celestite. I would also like to know what the orange and black one is too.

The lapis is not lapis if it has no gold flecks in it, I am sure they are sodalite.

Black tourmaline is in the bottom left rutilated quartz. The other ones could be other mineral inclusions.

The goldstone is correct looking for the one on the left.

The malachite looks correct also.

Re: Just Received a bunch of tumbled stones!
The blue chalcedony one really confused me--it is very smooth and opaque, it is grainy if it has any visual texture, rather than veined or crackled. This is why I labeled it as chalcedony, but I'm still not sure.Isis3Anubis wrote:The one that is way orange on the other side is probably fire agate or carnelian. And thank you for all your input! You are right about the sodalite, I believe.

I wouldn't have been able to identify any of these, but they are all very beautiful

Re: Just Received a bunch of tumbled stones!
I went crystal shopping online to find that orange black one but can't find a match but the blue one is angelite not celestite. The silvery blue one could be labradorite but the others are definitely sodalite.

Malachite can have chrysocolla combined with brownish green blue colors.

You've got some nice stones, Vervain. I especially like your tourmaline quartz. Your handwriting is pretty nice too.
I wish I could help with the identification process, but it's not my forte.

Re: Just Received a bunch of tumbled stones!
Thanks for all the help, everyone! The light blue is definitely angelite, thanks! There's no labradorite here, they're all sodalite I'm fairly certain. I'll try and put more pictures up today.
