Greetings all,
I do not follow a particular deity (in either male or female aspects) but I sometimes find it difficult to explain to others (and myself!) why I am this way. I also know that some people on this forum have questioned this also. I found this article and it really resonates with me, so I thought I would share it.

An interesting article indeed on belief (or lack of) of Gods
Does anyone know where I can score some chronic mugwort?

That is a good article. I personally have the belief, but understand those that do not. I was in those shoes at one time. Thanks for sharing this information. Blessed Be.

A book I'm reading posed the idea that in order to achieve a mature spirituality, you must recognize the archetypes and significance of what a particular god-form means to you. It's difficult to reconcile this analysis with actual belief, but that's what the pagan path has been about for me.
I remember having a whispered conversation with a friend when I was little about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. We had both found out they didn't exist. "What's next?" she whispered. "God?" Because God had been "told" to us, just like those other entities, I knew somehow "he" didn't exist.
I think our real "gods" come to us through our real choices and experiences, and these choices and needs will be different for everyone.
