Re: Set!! (Seth)

Hey, good for you to have this nee way of seeing things! :) From my experience deities are Never exactly how soruces describe them - i mean it is always written from a perpective, you know? So the opponent would be described as evil when in fact it all depends on the view. Just saying... should Set ...

Re: Rewrite this rule?

It's one thing to get 'hurt for nothing' and another to point out insensitive formulations. I think it would be nice when it could be changed, too. It won't put off anyone, I hope, but it does leave a frown/question mark in your mind. That was my two cents from the other side of the Ocean. :evilwitch:

Re: Cultural appropriation

I mean when the Romans heard of Isis they worhsipped her and build her Temples in, e.g. Germany, where People then also started whorshipping her. That is how it always has been and Personals i feel like the Gods want as much positive attention as they can get, no matter from whom.

Re: Spirit Spouses

if you fail to acknowledge them and the helpers she or he appoints to assist you with knowledge they can become angry and even threaten to kill you. That sounds scary! Honestly, if any spirit ever would threaten to kill me I would ward my butt off against them, doesn't sound right. I can imagine mu...

Re: Housewife Witchcraft?

Hello, is still someone here? I'm all for that type of witchcraft, that happens at home and is very mundane. A good book to start is Ellen Dugans 'Cottage Witchery', but there are a million other good books out there. It feels like every witch writes about magical house cleaning and such (Whitehurst...

Re: How do you find your root??

What you might be looking for, blue moon, is the religion of the Proto-Indo-Europeans. They are the root of e.g. the celtic, germanic, baltic... myths. I have been researching this for a long time now, too, and can offer you a few links. Proto-Indo-European Religion PIE-Deities Lithuania & Balti...

Re: Lord of the Rings

I feel like there was indeed another world much like Middle-Earth/Valinor where people of *this* world had previous lives. It might be that you feel that way because Tolkien used pretty much the whole norse mythology as a source for his creative genius writing. The tree of live, the gods, the names...

I like this idea and I like the site you have linked, all very great! :D Sometimes I also work with Christian deities or angels (even though technically, the angels have been around so much longer than Christianity^^), very seldom but it happens and why not? An when it comes to prayers they sure roc...

Re: Hello from Autumn Swan

Do not get me started on marvels rendition of the norse gods. Thor is a red head with a full beard, and is not a Moping love sick person, he is god of thunder, healind and the sacred oak. Odin is not a pacifist, hes a war god. if thor went out and attacked people, Odin would cheer not chastise. Odi...
