Re: Plans for this Esbat? [11/14/2016]

What I usually do. I did an overnight campout in the mountains. I built a mini-altar with what I found on the hike there, made an offering, lit a candle and meditated (The wind kept blowing it out. I'll have to remember to bring a wind barrier for the candle next time.) on current events. I came bac...

Re: Help to lift a curse...?

Black gravel and lemons... I'm no expert. Not even close. But to me, that sounds a bit like goofer dust. African-American Hoodoo stuff. But, a total cleanse of the place would be a fantastic way to start. Also, scattering salt and banishing oil in each room and around the house is a good cleanse. He...

Re: Multiple Personalities: Illness or Spirits?

Believe it or not, I used to work in an adult psych unit. Since most of my patients--friends, really-- either had Dementia, Schizophrenia, or a TBI, I don't really have any experience with DID. But I can say this; you and your alters seem to have some things to work out. Whether in real life or in y...

Why can't mainstream fashion pick up the hint? Cloaks like these are not only beautiful and practical, but just plain freaking cool. :)

Re: Including pets/familiars in rituals

I had a ferret for awhile who would steal all manner if small items and hide tbem under the couch. He would run around upside down under the couch too, using the liner under the couch to grab so he could do this weird behavior. It was like he was excited to have stole something  The little g...

Re: Tourists / trash / Temple of the Earth challenge

There's a river near where I live. A lot of the college kids just set fires along the edge and don't even bother to put them out, let alone pick up their garbage.
It's a big job, but the river is special to me. Let's put down out wands and pick up our shovels, shall we?

Re: Is Spirit an element too?

I like your scientific mindset. :) Do you study alchemy? No, but it looks intriguing to say the least. As they say, magic is just science we don't understand yet. Besides, who says that they can't coexist? It only "occurs" at the low temperature because that's the temperature necessary to...

Re: Is Spirit an element too?

I've always thought of it as solid (earth), liquid (water), gas (air), plasma (fire), and then spirit is a different state of matter. Cuz, you know... raising and lowering vibrations. Made sense to me. I was originally thinking Bose-Einstein Condensate, but that state of matter only occurs at temper...

Re: Do energetic vampires exist?

Hmm.... It sounds to me like you have an energy leak going on. Empaths radiate positive energy, and are sensitive to energy changes around them. I think that "giving" so much has punched a couple of holes in your "shield" and it's starting to leak. This leaked energy is then abso...

Re: Hidden Pagan Altar: Tips and Tricks

This is exceptionally handy. Thanks!
Now that I have a few ideas on how to do it discreetly, I may in fact try to make an altar out in the open. I really love some of these ideas, I can't wait to try and apply them. :)

Re: Box of Shadows

I used to be a Mormon. Still some fondness for the church, and I still feel a certain warmth from the churchouses and temples, but not as pronounced as the feeling I get from spending a night out under the stars with nothing but a blanket and a sweater. :) And you're right; there is divinity there. ...

Re: Could she be my familiar?

I have. Craigslist ads, flyers, knocking on doors (with the cat in my arms. Got the scratches to prove it, darn dogs.) Either she'd been missing for a while, or the owners don't know yet/don't care, or something. :( I'm not sure about getting her certified as a service animal. I don't have any major...

Re: Could she be my familiar?

I've been looking around the shelters. I talked with the receptionist and showed her the picture that I took of the cat. I doesn't match anything in the archive book. Also had her checked for a chip. That drew no clues either. I really love this kitty. But, on the other hand, if someone is scramblin...
