Re: Some Questions?
Unless the elements of a spell "work" inside your mind and with your intent it doesn't matter how good anyone thinks it is. If the elements of a spell do not work inside your magical system it won't work for you. If they do then it will. Remember the magic is in the witch and the witch's w...

Re: A fly reppelent?
Like JuniperBerry I've seen flies land on mint. I didn't pay attention to how long they stayed lol. But if they will actually land on the stuff and then fly away when it suits them I don't know how effective that is going to be for making a whole home safe from them.

Re: A fly reppelent?
Try mint if you like but I used to grow several verities of it and never saw that the flies avoided it especially. Killing them or not is your choice but unless you find a way to keep them out of your home you are putting yourself and others at risk unless you find some effective way of keeping the ...

Re: Gray magic?
Researching this ancestor will bring you some information but probably not the answer you are looking for. Given that you were working during Samhain (assuming your workings to be the catalyst for this event) it is possible that you did connect with some ancestor but the time since then has been so ...

Re: Spell to make someone stop obsessing?
Good advice Traumwandlerin. Magic is not always the best solution, sometimes mundane steps are better.

Re: A fly reppelent?
It is never fun to kill anything, but there are times when it is necessary. Flies carry diseases that can be harmful to you, your family, and even your pets. Killing them is not something to do for pleasure it is something you would do to protect your, and your family's and pet's health and well bei...

Re: casting the same spell few times?
Not in my experience.
Doing a good spell is the best way to push energy towards a goal.
I do redo spells sometimes. Sometimes I will redo a spell if it is something designed for long term work, like home protection. I redo those with each season because it makes sense to me, things like that.

Re: Protection against harm
Very nice ScarlettRose. If you don’t mind I have some questions, but first let me explain please. When I ask these questions it isn’t because I’m challenging you on anything or because I think you’re wrong about anything in the spell. I’m asking them because the more information people get...

Re: What is witchcraft?
Witchcraft is a loaded word. It comes with a lot of baggage and has come to mean so many different things to so many people that I’ve pretty much abandoned the word. I’m a magical practitioner. I don’t worship period. I don’t believe in any god or goddess or in the supernatural. I work with ...

Re: Do spices cause a flame to jump and spark?
It’s the spices.
Think about popcorn. The moisture inside of the kernel makes the popcorn explode and when it does fluffy white stuff comes out of it and it flies around as that happens.
Same thing, only on a smaller scale with the spices you’re using.

Re: Christian witch? Oh yeah, I'm one of those :)
Ok, several things to address here. First of all that “suffer not a witch to live,†phrase is a mistranslation, perhaps a deliberate one even. And no I don’t mean by the poster here lol, I mean in the King James version of the Bible. Second, this has gotten to personal and frankly a little rud...

Both of these views make the same assumption. That we view our craft as a religion involving worship of deities. I’m a secular witch, or if you prefer an atheist witch, and I know I’m not alone in this belief or this approach to the craft. “Truth†is a totally human concept as are right and ...
