Re: Some Tips on Starting a Coven
In my group the hierarchical order is what determines the core group and ultimately the "Council". The order is more of a stepping stone system to ordination. It thus far hasn't created any jealousy or other riffs, is does point out that these people are on a path, and it takes 3+ years to...

Have you seen the Morphing Black Holes???
Hi folks, I have had an experience several times on the hike out to our ritual hill. As I stroll along the path, I can see definite shadows, black spaces, that you can't see through, with irregular shapes and edges. They tend to hang about three feet or higher from the ground, and their shape change...

Re: do you squash bugs?

Re: Elements
I have always had a fascination for fire and been pretty handy at making fire burn. It is just like second nature. Go figure I am a Sagittarius, with three planets in sag. Fire lives in me, It is really the element that propels me, keeps me moving...motivated, and anxious for the next day. If you ar...

Re: Grave dirt
yes,.. always... leave an offering when removing something, with a clear explanation to the Gods of the intent. Hair is good in a pinch, tobacco is my favorite, blood when you can, and the Goddess always likes an offering of ale! Dirt collected from the general grounds of the cemetery can be used in...

Re: Solstice and Lugh
yes,...thanks Sym, Lugh can be called on whenever you want him, and indeed his Holiday is Lughnasadh, but his aspects do change as you move around the wheel. Our group actually has him in the east, for it is His "Shinning Brow" that skirts across the land every dawn. BB Firebird

Solstice and Lugh
We are once again on the cusp of the day of greatest energy. The Celtic God Lugh reigns high in the sky with his flaming red hair flying all about and touching our fields with his fertile warmth. Lugh is a Fire God that makes everything fecund. Ask him to bring his seeds of "becoming" to y...

A Question about Death and the Athame...
A great deal of energy passes through ones Athame, and it is an extremely personal tool, when a witch crosses over into the Summerland, what do you think should be done with his/her magical blade?? Do you pass it down in the immediate family ,or within your witch family? Do you throw it in the lake,...

Re: Who grows their own ginger?
Yummm ginger. I have bought the roots in the market, and then wait 'till the little "eyes" of the rhizome kinda start to sprout, then stick 'em en the ground. I have some in a pots but they never bloom. The ones in the ground produce the most beautiful buttery sweet fragrance I have ever e...

Re: Healings without permission?
Its been said that when sending healing energy it should have been asked for. You don't know what path your recipient is on. Perhaps a lesson of healing is one that needs to be discovered on their own. However, I see no harm in sending White Light that they can use as they please.

Re: Jesus and a pagan child
And did those feet,...in ancient times,...walk among England's Mountains green? and was the holy lamb of God,... on England's pleasant pastures seen? Just a portion of a poem by Blake (I Believe) and a song by Emerson, Lake, And Palmer. :D Idea being that Jesus came to England with Joseph of Arimath...

Re: Message to New and Elder Pagans
Indeed we knew it all when we were young, and if we think we are wise just because we are older, ha! we will never know it all. Tolerance begins with the self at all levels. The young to tolerate their elders words of experience and the old to tolerate the impatience of the young. If one ever ceases...
