My husband and I have several tats. Mine cover both of my forearms. We waited till after we were married and have some spiritual experiences together before our first tattoos. All of ours mean alot to us and hold a special story for each. They are also beautiful pieces of art we carry around with us...

I completely understand where you're coming from. My first advice for you is to do exactly what you and your fiance want to do for YOUR wedding. Yes, his family and your family will be there but it is not about them. You will not be intimately spending your life with his mother or whoever...just him...

His Lazarus song is incredibly haunting. I watched the video the other day when it came out, going back and watching it, and Blackstar, knowing what he knew about his health while writing the album, how he planned it out, very hard. The words he sings of being free like a blue bird, gives me chills.
