I’ve been reading about prayer beads and I’m wondering if it’s a just a tool for meditation and connecting to a deity then wouldn’t a gemstone work just as well? How do prayer beads differ?

My sign element (Sagittarius) is fire which I am drawn to regardless because I like being surrounded by candles. I’m also drawn to water which is weird because I don’t like swimming.

I don’t have an altar yet but I’d like to share what I want it to look like. A statue of Aphrodite (where she’s standing in a seashell like the painting), on either side of her will be a pillar candle, one pink and one white, a small scallop shell dish for offerings, a vase for flower offerings, and...

I feel bad that I can’t honour Aphrodite properly right now, with an altar, statue, and offerings. But I use my rose quartz for meditation to communicate with her, and I sleep with it under my pillow. Do you think she can still hear my prayers and thanks?

I guess because I live in the Southern Hemisphere, it seems weird to celebrate them at different times.

I’m more drawn to the moon because it looks so mystical, and I’ve read that magick is at it’s strongest during a full moon.

Does Aphrodite have any special days/festivals dedicated to her? I know there’s Aphrodisia but I’m unclear when that is celebrated?

But isn’t it considered wrong to not celebrate the sabbats?
