Re: Spell Books and sites
Christopher Penczak I always thought was interesting, though he tends to lean towards a more "New-Agey" approach I am not fond of. The material itself makes for a decent foundation.

Re: Sage
It means you did not put it out thoroughly.
As stated above, check the wrapping and make sure it is a tight wrap. Otherwise getting "smoked" will be the outcome.

Technically, the Witching hour is between 2 hours to 1 hour before sunrise/dawn, which is also the darkest time of the night.

Re: How do I expglain Wicca to my strict Christian family?
To this day I have have family who know nothing of my practices and beliefs. I still hide my practices from most of my family, except my wife and four children who also hide their practices as well. It really boils down to whether you want to let them know, or not. For me, it would be more of a burd...

Re: Not quite meditation...
Focus on your breathing when this happens, and then focus on one of the tattwas which seem to draw your attention. From there we are able to find more focus, and with the use of your controlled breathing, literally choose what and where your mind can go- sleep, comfort, relaxing, etc. It is somethin...

Black mirrors I always found intriguing, considering their use was also for not only divination/scrying but also for Goetic Evocation.

Re: Where did you start?
I was born into a Pentecostal family, however I was also born with one parent being Jewish and the other- Native American. I was able to learn much from the local Mide' and Waabanowin and was able to join up with the Waabano Society on the reservation. It is because of this I grew towards a love for...

Re: Alternative Element Systems
Druidry(Revivalist) speaks of only three elements: The Sea/Waters(Gwyar), the Earth(Calas) and the Sky(Nwyfre).
All existence is made up of a combination of these substances and make up the whole(Manred) of the universe.

Re: Are Druids a subgroup of Celts?
A phrase I heard and have used often "All Druids are Celts, but not all Celts are Druids" kind of like "All Californians are American, but not all Americans are Californian" But to note, this is an example only in the Ancient times, as I am not a Celt who practices/dabbles in Dru...

Re: Some help if I may
Do you recognize other deity as well as your own? Do you see all deity as one universal deity or are all separate entities?
Much of this determines what practice and association, however I am one not fond of labeling.

Re: Ceremonial Magic
If you have an interest in Ceremonial Magic, I highly recommend Donald Michael Kraig's book Modern Magick. It is a simple explanation of Qabalistic, Ceremonial practice and shows the application using the rituals from the Defunct Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

Well Hello There!
In retrospect I have been here for a while, reading the forums and reading the site for a few months now. I applied to the forums a week or two back, however just recently received the email which accepted me. And lo, here I am! ready to enjoy the fruits of knowledge and the ability to share, reflec...
