Re: Thoth's Exit

I only ever connected with and worshiped deities from the Egyptian pantheon for the first eight or so years that I was a pagan. I tried connecting with other deities and nothing ever came of it, so I just assumed I would always honor the Egyptian gods, and I was perfectly fine with that. So it was ...

Thoth's Exit

So a few nights ago, before I got this influx of deities trying to come into my life, there was the leaving of one deity who was very important to me. Thoth was my first god to follow in my Pagan/Kemetic/Wiccan (I'm unsure of what I am officially called so I'm not going to stress it) path and was a ...

Re: Anyone recognize this name?

To me it sounds a bit like Pluri-dios which could be roughly translated as "many gods", or maybe it could mean a god with many faces or many forms? Interesting. Let us know if you discover anything, Moonfire ;) :surprisedwitch: OMG PLURIDIOS THAT'S IT. Ahem. Sorry. xD I'm not entirely cer...

Re: Anyone recognize this name?

It sounds kinda Latin, doesn't it? I looked at some Roman possibilities, but Pluvius is the closest I could find ("sender of rain" an epithet of Jupiter). Couldn't really find anything more helpful than that, though... It definitely does sound Latin. I checked google translate and it dete...

Anyone recognize this name? UPDATE

So tonight I "felt" a name come to me. I don't know why but it seemed very important and relevant, possibly even a deity but I'm not sure. At first I struggled with making out the name but when I finally got it, it rang...powerful. Like a name I was supposed to know or remember. Anyone rec...

Re: Does the thought of rebirth scare you?

Yes and no. I think the concept is beautiful because it gives you the opportunity to make advancements towards understanding and enlightenment that you may not have made before. A second chance as it were to do what you couldn't do a previous time. However while it holds the great potential to impro...

Re: Subtle Magic Practice

Here's some Make up I've used to Thoth. Silver and a deeper blue are both colors of his with some simple eyeliner since he is a more subtle deity, it ties it together as needed. I used a maroonish lip color here to give a bit of a bold look so it would bring people to focus and listen to what I had ...

Subtle Magic Practice

So if any of you are in a situation like my own, you are in a position where you cannot openly practice magic. I have recently moved back in with my parents and while they know of my conversion to paganism/wicca they have expressly ordered that I am not to practice any magic. I can understand their ...

Re: Not Your Own Works

Tell all the truth but tell it slant-
Success in circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm delight
The truth's superb surprise
As lightning to the children eased
With explanation kind
The truth must dazzle gradually
Or every man be blind-

Re: Asking the Goddess

I don't think so at all. Our deities are there for a reason, some who have goals for you, others who come because you called and there is nothing wrong with calling to your deity for strength. I sometimes will even ask Ra and Thoth to help me get through a night at my job if I feel I may need the ex...
