Re: Worth reading Ebooks
It's high magick, but I suggest "The One Year Manual" by Israel Regardie for pretty much everybody exploring magick. I have a WordPress link, but it links straight to the pdf, so I'm not sure if it's allowed

Re: What do you think happens when a baby dies?
Hi. Sorry it took me so long to reply, I was mulling over how to give you an answer that was both true to what I believe and honors all the pain and trouble you've been through. (Hugs by the way) I believe that a soul chooses their birth, right up to choosing their parents, and gender. Exactly when ...

Re: Lessons or Exercises
Honestly, I have it done for my group anyway, all it takes is removing or changing the path specific stuff. It's true that the basic outline is covered in many books though. It might help to have longer explanations than are practical to post here anyway

Re: Lessons or Exercises
I'll sit down and look at my stuff, see if I can't come up with things less path specific

Re: Everyone's path
I used to be very ceremonial in my practices but I find that most of my work is better without the candles and what not, only when I am working for a very important purpose or working with the spirit world do I use ritual but its been quite a while since I have felt the need to do so. I just do wha...

Re: Animal Language
I've always been good with animals, it's a mixture of telepathy and reading body language. I can't point to anything specific, but they always seem to make their wishes known

Re: Psychic Powers of Man
Exorcism As far as I am concerned, (correct me if I'm wrong), the earliest recorded cases of exorcism can be found in the Bible. Exorcism was also used in Sumerian and Akkadian cultures, pre biblical times, often as treatment for what we know today as mental or seizure disorders. I can dig up a sou...

Re: rowan tree
Cloud, why rowan in particular? We may have other suggestions depending on why. The mountain ash is a good one. If it's too attract the fey, lilac bushes actually work great. I like willows for general rowanness without being rowan, energy just feels close to me

Re: rowan tree
We have so many of those in Indiana where I live! The ash borers in particular were a HUGE problem for a while. We had a couple of harsh winters, and the population died back enough we don't hear about them on the news any more, but I still see them once in a while, so it's only a matter of time.

Re: Everyone's path
Hey, I didn't see that other thread, cool. This is something good to do from time to time I think though, I don't see many of those people around much right now, and we have some new members. Also, Seraphin, I think we share a lot, although I am a "Hermetic soft polytheist". I threw that t...

Aesennyll, sometimes I envy that connection to the land. I'm on a very intellectual path that can be dry and formal at times.

Re: Everyone's path
Would you consider ritual and ceremonialism to be similar? For me anyway, Ceremonialism is my way of saying I follow a ritual-based path, rooted in Western Esotericism (things like the Golden Dawn and Thelema) but without following the teachings or path of any specific group. It's kind of like defi...
