Re: Yule Traditions

When I was a kid, we didn't celebrate Christmas. For me it's just a New year's eve moved 6 days earlier, nothing special. I celebrate Yule for some years now, I make a special dinner with uneven nimber of vegetarian meals (which is actually what people do for Christmas here, I just do it for Yule ) ...

Re: 3 Things You Don't Use & Why

Oh, I'm all for being able to wear robes if you like them. I guess they may make me feel more magical or help me tune myself to the ritual. I've just never felt the need to wear them. I must admit they look great though. I like the middle age vibe to some robes. Still not my thing, but I guess it co...

Re: 3 Things You Don't Use & Why

I don't use: 1. Athame - I do have one, I love it, just never felt the need to use it :D 2. Pendulums - they just don't work for me. They would either stay still, ot just wiggle and spin and I get angry. I have a couple, but don't use them. 3. Robes - just find them way too theatrical. My 2 cents th...

Re: Witchcraft Isn't Like Harry Potter

My sister in law forbid her elder daughter to read the books. She used to come to my house to read them. I don't understand banning books. I read the Bible, it was one of the things that actually made me non - christian :D Besides, as much as I like Harry Potter books, classifying them as witchcraft...

I believe he knows how you feel and understands. We feel what we feel, no need to regret it. May he rest in peace.

Boogie

One of Bulgaria's greatest blues guitarists passed away last night. He also had a radio show. 58 forever. Boogie was not only a great musician, but a very good man too. He met my kid once and was her fan. He promised to invite her in his show, which he used to help young rock and blues musicians. We...

Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)

No, I was following this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDxAZvb4l9k - the curves are actually connected to the pattern so no need for wire. There are some amazing videos out there. I find some interesting designs in Pinterest and when I look the pictures up in Google, it sometimes comes up w...

Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)

Thank you ladies.
No, I bought those really cheap sandals that had straps which I removed so I was left with the sole and the little loops. They cost me like 1 Euro (1.2 US Dollars).

Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)

As I am a maniac of handmade, I thought I would make myself sandals for the summer (apparently I won't be able to wear them soon as weather is horrible at the moment, but still :D )

I second what Spirit said. Besides, it's always a good idea to make your own tools as you build a better connection with them.

Re: YanaKhan's gazillion projects :)

Aww, ff, you make me blush! I'm planning on making a bracelet that will be sorta vine like around the arm. I'm going to combine macrame with some wire for that and I'm going to show off :D This piece is actually pretty easy to make, there are quite a lot videos on youtube on micro macrame and it's a...

And another one - I find this particularly witchy - with the leaves and the flower. I think this is the prettiest one I made. The stone is Lapis Lazuly for some fiery boost.
