Re: Reasons I Won't Believe in Christianity.

I'm not, nor have I ever been a Christian, but I agree with what Mist said. Most Christians I know recognize that the bible was written as a political tool and don't believe everything it says. I don't think you can judge an entire religion just because SOME Christians have corrupted it. What if Chr...

Re: just a thought

Good points all of you; I also dislike the hypocrisy of the way many people bash them because they bash us. But, you know what I hate even more than the devout Christians that disagree with our religion? Those close-minded call-themselves-Christians. You know the ones I mean. They are "Christian" be...

Extracting Oils From Plants

I came across this page and just thought I would share it here for anyone who wants to try it. ;) Essential oils are the aromatic oils extracted from flowers or herbs. Commercial oils are made through distillation and can be expensive to purchase. You can make your own essential oils by adding bruis...

Re: Must I Let Go of Juadaism Completely?

Yeah, I'm this way too. Judaism has much more of a cultural identity than Christianity does. During Channukah, I'm not necessarily thinking about God as I light the candles, I'm thinking about how my ancestors have been doing this for thousands of years. Even though my mom isn't a strict Jew, she al...

Re: Plants

Well I usually say that wood is not an element because it is from a plant, but then you would also have to question whether coal could be associated with earth, etc, so I guess it could be. I just stick the the four though, usually. Also, would you mind telling me what you use as your eight elements...

Plants

I'm bored. So I thought I'd start a discussion on here. :type: The topic of plants has not been specifically discussed in the elemental forum yet (that I have seen), but plants have been mentioned in regard to earth. When I think of earth as an element, I think of the ground and its solidity, ...

New Year

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering if someone could explain to me why Samhain is considered by Pagans to be the "new year". It seems to make more sense to me for the new year to begin in spring when everything in nature is being renewed and reborn... just curious. :)

Here's a a basic recipe for homemade clay that is easily customizable. You might want to experiment a little to find what works best; I've been doing that recently. All you really need for this clay is flour and salt. I generally use about two to three times as much flour as salt; it doesn't have to...

Wow, great article and thread. Why anyone feels the need to convert others to their faith has always been a mystery to me, though.

Re:

my version anyways and that is the key... it is YOUR version, hence you are not a follower of wicca. It is like being a christian but changing the 10 commandments. Canny be done! IMHO, not only can that be done, but it's what SHOULD be done. All religions should be personal. You can get ideas from ...

Re: My Blessing For the Book of Shadows that I wrote

I once found an old date planner that was like two years out of date. It was completely blank except for the first 'note' page. In my familiar handwriting it said, "Beware the quantum ducks...quark quark quark". I about peed laughing, I have no idea where that phrase is from (I am certain I did not...
