Re: Stone cleansing and recharging.
I like to pass my stones through incense smoke as a way of cleansing them. Another option is to place them in a bowl of brown rice, which absorbs the negativity. You can also use a singing bowl or tuning fork to cleanse them with sound. I'm not much for leaving my stones out under the full moon, but...

Re: Where to start with stones?
If you have the means, I'd suggest you pick up Ember Grant's 'The Book of Crystal Spells.' It is a great book for a beginner and covers things like crystal grids, elixirs, and medicine bags. I get a lot of my crystals and stones on Etsy, though a lot of shops use stock photos so you end up purchasin...

Re: Spell to make my awful neighbour shut up
I agree with what the other posters have stated about Adult Protective Services. It doesn't matter that no one else has done it -- it is up to you to be responsible enough to recognize that your neighbor is being emotionally abused by her son. Wouldn't you want someone to call for your mother if she...

Re: Writing or modifying spells
Yes, you are more than able to write/create your own spells. Modifying spells written by others is also an option. However, I do advise you to stick to your correspondences and research supplies based on what it is you're trying to do. For example, using a herb for sex magic would not be very useful...

Re: Decommissoning Talismans?
It is commonly believed that burying items that we are finished with is a good way to release the energy back into the earth. I wouldn't bury the envelope though. I suggest burying the contents, such as the herbs, and then burning the envelope. You can cleanse the crystal by any of the cleansing met...

Re: Need a reversal spell for a love spell cast a few yrs ag
I know others have already posted some good options but I wanted to add a few ideas to the mix. For starters, if you have anything you created to aid the spell, like a mojo bag or a piece of jewelry, bury the item and allow that energy to go into the earth to help dissipate the spell. I don't really...

Re: Need a spell to win favor in court!
Even if your girlfriend isn't able to testify in court, I suggest you ask her to write a letter and have her mother's lawyer give it to the judge. I think the best thing either of you can do is visualize yourselves winning in court. Carrying citrine is also a good idea.

Re: Anyone know how to clense a necklace of satanic energy?
Smudging and burying are both great ideas. I suggest you also ask the God and Goddess to cleanse it and even invoke the five elements to do so if you think it is necessary. Do you use crystals at all? You can also surround it with some tumbled black tourmaline, obsidian, and citrine to absorb any co...

Re: Celtic Oracle Cards
I have previously used the Druid Animal Oracle. While the imagery on the cards was beautiful, I didn't really find much use for them in my practice because many of the animals weren't ones that were commonly found in Central Missouri where I lived at the time. By all means give them a try if you're ...

Re: Awen
I see this is someone of an old thread but I wanted to add something to the mix. As you can see by my image to the right of this post, the Awen resonates with me. I find it very simplistic and yet very powerful. While I have a pentacle necklace I tend to wear my Awen necklace much more. I have also ...

Re: Unitarian Universalist
My UU church had an Earth-Based group and the members had not at that time made a choice to peruse membership into CUUPS. The leaders of the group called it WEBS based on the UU tenet of having respect for the interconnectedness through the web of life. The group was fun but I had to stop attending ...

Re: straight people do it too...... but mostly gays
Just because your grandfather isn't doing it in the correct way doesn't mean he isn't trying to help you out and keep you safe. Some people tend to speak more to the negative aspects of things. Just tell him that you're well aware of the risks and that all you can do is be safe, protect yourself, an...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't go big or go home ha. As long as I acknowledge it, I'm good? Totally. Love in your heart is worth more than fancy altars, elaborate rituals, or monotone poems. Exactly! I think it is wonderful to do elaborate ritual, get together like-minded friends ...

Re: Finding a Book of Shadows
My first book of shadows was a folder (the ones kids use for school) that I filled with printouts from online resources or items that I had toyed up. That evolved to me putting everything on a floppy disk. Anyone else remember those? :wink2: Eventually I moved on to a three ring binder and then to o...
