I actually don't think that paying for a course is a terrible idea. Once I'm finished with my current degree, I would strongly consider taking some paid online courses. The one I am most interested in is here:
Order of the White Moon (a Pagan blogger that I very much respect got her ordination from that school, which is why I would consider it), although it costs significantly less than the ones you linked to above. I do think there is value in paying for a teacher's time: it compensates for their time, it indicates you are serious enough to make a sacrifice, it holds them accountable for teaching you, and it supports Pagan institutions.
However, I would strongly recommend researching those more closely before you begin. Contact some of their past students, if you can, and get an honest testimonial from them. Think carefully about what you want to get out of a course, and see if the syllabus/learning outcomes would provide those outcomes.
